and when you lose every game for the 2nd straight season, it hurts only the coaches, but not for long, 'cause the players don't know or care about winning as long as there are snacks and cool trophies...

I thought you were refering to our beloved Padres until you got to the snacks and trophies part.
Whatever works... maybe Towers needs to really take 'em "back to the basics"
