"The man who does not read good books is no better
than the man who can't."

— Mark Twain

"To learn to read is to light a fire;
every syllable that is spelled out is a spark."

Mark Twain was truly a man of words. I often think he would have been a fabulous person with whom to spend a day. Sure, his stories were wonderful, but so were his one liners. He seems to have been very aware of every word he spoke and delivered each with the recipient in mind.

Remember when we saw/heard him speak in Old Town long ago? Nothing new, but all good.
